What's new

AltunakarDesk updates itself: new versions are installed automatically on Windows and announced by the program on a Mac. Current version: 1.5.0-12.

1.5.0-1226 October 2026 Latest version
  • New: Subscriptions and licensing: Solo, Team and Enterprise subscription plans are available for businesses. The licence key is entered under Settings › Account › Licence; all of a company's technicians use the same key.
  • New: Free use: receiving support is always free and unlimited. Connections started from unlicensed installations last 5 minutes; you can reconnect after a short wait.
  • Account: A reminder appears in the main window 7 days before the subscription expires; the subscription status can be checked with the licence key on the My account page of the website.

  • New: Fixed toolbar: in the connection window the toolbar stays fixed at the top and no longer covers the remote screen; the pin button switches to the auto-hiding toolbar.
  • New: Simplified settings: by default the Settings section shows only the essential options; network, display and other technical settings open with Show advanced settings.
  • Security: The connection server's address and key are fixed in the program and cannot be changed; insecure TLS fallback and direct IP access are disabled.
  • Improvement: If the computer being accessed has more than one display, the display buttons (1, 2, 3...) are shown directly in the toolbar; switch between displays with a single click.
  • Improvement: The orange frame and label shown around the screen of the computer being accessed during a session have been removed; the connection is still shown in the connection window.

  • Account: Free personal accounts: created via the Create one link in the login window; you sign in with your email address and password.
  • New: Redesigned address book: groups (companies for team accounts) and a device table, with Connect, Transfer file and online status on a single row.
  • New: Advanced search: search with several words at once; variations in Turkish characters are handled automatically.
  • Security: Verified technician: when an Altunakar technician connects, “Altunakar technician (verified)” is shown; a warning is displayed for connections that cannot be verified.
  • New: Screen frame: during a session, an orange frame and a label with the connected technician's name are shown on the screen of the computer being accessed.
  • New: Whiteboard: the technician can annotate the remote screen with pen, line, arrow, rectangle and ellipse tools; drawings are cleared with a single command.
  • New: Chat history: messages exchanged during a session are saved to the Documents/AltunakarDesk/Sohbetler folder; on the computer being accessed this is turned off by default.
  • Security: Unattended access permissions: file transfer, restart and similar permissions can be set separately for connections opened with the permanent password without confirmation.
  • New: Send logs to Altunakar: from the About section, the program's logs from the last 3 days are sent to Altunakar with your consent; they contain no passwords or screenshots.
  • New: Interface language: the program is available in Turkish, English and German; the language is chosen during installation or in Settings.
  • Improvement: Fixed the AltunakarDesk window on the computer being accessed dimming and becoming unusable during a session; pages can be scrolled in small windows and the full version number is shown.

  • New: Automatic updates: new versions are published with Altunakar's digital signature and verified with SHA-256; they are installed automatically on Windows and announced on a Mac.
  • New: Switch user and Sign out commands for remote Windows computers; afterwards, the connection automatically reconnects to the sign-in screen.
  • Improvement: The remote screen now fits the window by default, so the full picture is shown on high-resolution displays.

  • New: Refreshed interface: a side menu, the This computer card showing the ID and one-time password at the top, and labeled permissions in the connection window.
  • New: The computer's ID is assigned once during installation and never changes.
